Breadboard

The breadboard is the heart of the Soft Circuits Toolkit. It features many holes that are connected in lines (air channels). This allows for many components to be plugged directly into the same channel, thus connecting them to each other. The holes that you don’t want to use in the channel have to be closed with plugs, otherwise the air will all vent out.

Plugs:

  • The red plug fully closes a hole, preventing air from venting out.
  • The yellow plug has a hole through its entire length, and is used to secure male connectors to the breadboard more securely. This can be handy in cases where there’s a high pressure buildup in the channel, and the male connector tube would otherwise slide out. The yellow plug can then keep it in place.
Insert the plugs deep enough into the breadboard.
Yellow plugs serve to connect male tubes to the breadboard securely.
