6. Resistors in parallel

  1. You’re going to build a circuit with components and resistors in parallel. You will see that adding resistors in parallel increases airflow to these components.
  2. Build the breadboard setup.
  3. Turn on the pump and press the tubes connected to the resistors (kink them) one by one until they are completely shut. Notice how the diode sound changes.
  1. Now we’re going to experiment with a bellow. The bellow can’t release the pressure inside, so it’s wise to put a resistor in parallel to the bellow.
  2. Play around with the resistors to see how closing them (eliminating them from the circuit) influences how much pressure builds up inside the bellow.
