- You’re going to build a circuit with components and resistors in series. You will see that adding resistors in series restricts airflow to these components.
- Build the breadboard setup.
- Turn on the pump and observe the flag with 1 and with 2 resistors (0.5mm) in series. Notice how the flag flaps less powerfully when you add more resistors.
- Now replace the flag with a diode. When the diode lets air through, it whistles.
- Notice how to sound of the diode becomes less powerful when you add resistors in series. The pitch (how high the tone is) also drops.
