What is SoftModBot?
The SoftModBot platform is a collection of components, tutorials, and documentation to teach about fluidic circuits. The toolkit was designed by Katrien van Riet in the Soft Robotic Matter group at AMOLF in the Netherlands. It aims to teach engineering students about fluidic circuits, which they can then integrate in their projects.
On this website you can find tutorials on how to use the toolkit, as well as documentation such as design files and characterisation data.
We warmly invite researchers and others interested to contribute to the toolkit. This can be done through the design of new components or circuits. The components are all modular and rely on a single, uniform connection system, which enables easy contribution.
How to get started?
